The Japanese portal Animate the times posted an interview with the voice actors Yuusuke Kobayashi Y. Rie Takahashi, in relation to his participation in the second season of the anime Re: Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu ((Re: ZERO – Start life in another world), where they played Subaru and Emilia, respectively. The in-depth interview asked the artists about their favorite scenes, but the conclusion was highlighted by fans when both of them commented on the upcoming third season.

- Yuusuke Kobayashi: Thank you for watching this second season through to the end. Although it had to be postponed due to COVID-19, the quality of the animation and Narrator performance made it worth the wait and I was confident it would live up to their expectations. I was totally convinced of that and I really enjoyed participating from start to finish. If possible, I want to get on with it right away. But now I’m in the “after” after this second season. We worked for almost a year, including the break, and I feel exhausted. Probably not just me, but the production team as well. This second season has given us a lot of energy with every episode, so I like to take a break and record Re: Zero as soon as I’m ready to give it my all again.
- Rie Takahashi: I can proudly say that like Yuusuke-san, I did a good job. I want you to see the series not only on television but also in physical formats. Each episode is about 29 minutes 30 seconds long, amazing! I want to improve my skills and prepare for continuation in advance. The first season of the animated adaptation had twenty-five episodes and was released in April 2016. A second season also had twenty-five episodes, but its broadcast was divided into two parts of thirteen and twelve episodes, respectively, which aired in the summer 2020 and winter 2021 seasons. Synopsis for Re: Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu
A meeting that should mark the arrival of peace time quickly collapses when Subaru Natsuki and Emilia return to the village of Irlam. Subaru experiences the havoc left by the catastrophes known as the Archbishops of Sin, and sinks into the depths of despair as its ability to remake things becomes useless.
As the group heads to the sanctuary in search of answers, Subaru has an unexpected encounter with the witch of greed, Echidna. Under his wild rhythm he is forced to plunge into the spirals of the past and the future. At the same time, various mysterious threats turned their attention to the sanctuary and announced a terrible fate for the unfortunate people trapped inside.
