Studio Ghibli is undoubtedly one of the pillars of Japanese animation. Founded by Miyazaki, Suzuki and Takahata, the studio has been revolutionizing the medium with works that have become timeless for more than 35 years. As they wait to find out what their next project will be, a surprising video has left fans speechless.
As you can see in the post at the bottom of the page, shared by the studio’s official account, it seems that Ghibli’s artists have indeed started official collaboration with Lucasfilm. Although the brevity of the video and the lack of comments or presentations on the tweet raise many doubts, those who follow the world of animation immediately thought of it a contribution from Studio Ghibli in the second season from Star Wars: Visions.
Given the success of the first season of the Lucasfilm-produced anime, thanks to the work of seven Japanese animation studios, including TRigger and Kinema CitrusIt was to be expected that Disney would seek further collaborations for the new episodic series, but no one could expect input from the incredible Studio Ghibli. So for now we can only assume this is a partnership for the future of Star Wars: Visions, but we’d also like to know your thoughts in the comments.
Finally, we leave you to the curious sightings of Miyazaki in Ghibli Park.
