Marvel Comics recently announced a relaunch of Amazing Spider-Man starting at number 1. After the creative team and the details of the relaunch were announced, Marvel has also revealed all variant covers of the new Amazing Spider Man #1, made by prominent names in the American comics panorama.
Amazing Spider-Man #1 enjoy fourteen variant covers, which complements the regular cover designed by John Romita Jr. The variants will be created by Humberto Ramos, Mark Bagley, Travis Charest, Jim Cheung, Russel Dauterman, Skottie Young, Bengal, Patrick Gleason, Peach Momoko, Stanley “Artgerm” Lau , InHyuk Lee and Rose Besch, who will draw two covers.
Besides that, Marvel also announced the so-called Hidden Gem variant cover, created by Mark Bagley and John Romita Sr., two names that certainly need no introduction when it comes to Spider-Man: the first illustrated numerous stories of Spider-Man throughout the ’90s, in addition to nearly all of Ultimate Spider-Man; while the second is one of the most influential artists in Spider-Man history, as well as the illustrator’s father, who will take care of the Spider-Man relaunch.
Marvel has published several of the variant covers on its official website, though not all. Below we therefore propose the covers, chosen in this order by Travis Charest, Artgerm, InHyuk Lee, Peach Momoko, Humberto Ramos and The Hidden Gem by Bagley and Romita Sr.
The release of Amazing Spider-Man #1, and all of its variants, is scheduled for April 6, 2022 in the United States. Keeping with the Spider-Man theme, an original Secret Wars board sold for a record price.
