Goku vs Vegeta is one of the most iconic fights in the Dragon Ball universe. These two characters initially represented the battle between good and evil as one of the Saiyans fought to defend Earth and the other to conquer it, but then it evolved into a challenge between friends and rivals.
This fight has appeared multiple times in the manga and anime dragon ball. The first time happened during the epic saga of Saiyans, the second instead happened during the saga of Majin Buu when Goku faced Majin Vegeta. After that, there were more fights between the two, mostly in training in Dragon Ball Super. However, everyone has in their minds the battles that were carried out following the Dragon Ball Z graphic style and are now lost due to the new graphic key with which the clashes are interpreted nowadays.
In fact, there are now many reinterpretations that will take you back in time, as happened with the Z-style Ultra Instinct. What if you went the opposite way instead? A fan wanted to make one Goku and Vegeta clash in the style of Dragon Ball Super, as can be seen below. The first image is of course from the 90’s anime where Super Saiyan Goku is pitted against Super Saiyan Vegeta.
In the image on the right is the same scene but modified, with the traits of the two that favor more the new character design and contemporary artistic direction, with the addition of a very dark background it makes the energy in Vegeta’s hands glow even more. Which of the two styles do you prefer?
