Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken Summary
Satoru Mikami, 37, is a typical corporate employee who is perfectly content with his monotonous lifestyle in Tokyo, apart from the fact that he has never had a girlfriend in his life. In the midst of a chance meeting with his colleague, he is stabbed to death by a random attacker on the street. However, as he succumbs to his injuries, a strange voice echoes in his head, reciting a series of commands that the dying man cannot understand. When Satoru regains consciousness, he discovers that he has been reincarnated as a slime in an unknown realm. In the process, he gains new abilities, most notably the power to devour anything and mimic his looks and abilities.
Next, he stumbles upon the catastrophically sealed monster “Storm Dragon” Veldora, which has been sealed for the past 300 years for destroying a city. Understanding his situation, Satoru befriends him and promises to help him destroy the seal. In return, Veldora gives him the name Rimuru Tempest to grant him divine protection. Now freed from the mundanities of his past life, Rimuru embarks on a new journey with a clear goal in mind. As he adjusts to his new physique, his sticky antics spread across the world, gradually changing his destiny.
