The company’s plans don’t seem entirely clear; the preview of the new issue shows a Doc Ock trying to find out the truth.
Lately it’s been hard to tell if Doctor Octopus is good or bad in comics. After Ben Reilly was defeated in The Amazing Spider-Man # 84, the preview of The Amazing Spider-Man # 85 shows Doc Ock triumphs over the daughters of the dragon, the team of superheroes Misty Knight and Colleen Wing, hired by Beyond Corporation like Ben Reilly.
It appears, therefore, that Octopus has returned to its old rogue habits. The behavior of Otto Octavius it might actually be justified by its discovery of classified information (not shared with readers) on the real intentions of the mysterious Beyond Corporation. It cannot therefore be ruled out that the Doctor Octopus actually takes on a hero role in The Amazing Spider-Man # 85, whereby Spider-Man and the villain of the Daughters of the Dragon don’t know about it.
