Shoujo Kageki Revue Starlight Synopsis
As preparations begin for the Seisho Academy of Music’s annual festival, Grade 99 girls prepare to perform their own version of “Starlight,” the tragic story of two goddesses united by the embers of heaven, but to do so are destined to separate so as not to see each other again. This girls-only school was founded to nurture the next generation of theater talent and is working to improve their students’ singing, acting and dancing skills. One of the students is Karen Aijou, 16, a carefree girl who has dreamed of being on stage since she was a child.
Her love for the theater grows when her childhood friend Hikari Kagura moves to Seisho Academy. Through her old friend, Karen stumbles upon a secret elevator that leads to a huge theater under the school. This arena, led by a talking giraffe, serves as a battlefield where her classmates duel to determine who deserves the title of “Top Star”, which entitles them to play one of the lead roles in “Starlight”. Encouraged by the promise she made to Hikari that one day she would become stars together, Karen enters these mysterious battles in hopes of making her dream come true.
