The Japanese distributor Animate listed the distribution information for the upcoming original anime’s Blu-ray / DVD compilation packages released by. were produced Kadokawa, SELECTION PROJECT. The information confirmed that the series will have a total of twelve episodes and that the releases are planned as follows:
- Package 1 (episodes 1-3) – 22.12.2021.
- Package 2 (episodes 4 to 6) – January 26th, 2021.
- Package 3 (episodes 7 to 9) – February 25, 2021.
- Package 4 (episodes 10-12) – March 23, 2021.
The series has its premiere scheduled for October 1 through AT-X, TOKYO MX, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV, TV Aichi and BS11 while the platform Funimation takes care of the spread in the west. The first episode premiered early on September 26th in Japan on a YouTube broadcast.

Selection of project overview
The focus of the multimedia project is on the seventh “Selection Project”, an idol reality show from Japan that takes place every summer. The Selection Project is the main entrance for any girl who wants to become an idol, and the project follows nine girls who have won the regional qualifying rounds. The votes of the audience determine which girls win or lose in these “audition battles”.
Suzune Miyama wants to be an idol like Akari Amenazawa, an idol who debuted through a reality show. Suzune had been sick since childhood, but she often listened to Akari’s music when she went for a walk. Akari’s voice gave Suzune a smile and courage that encouraged her to do the same for others. During her final summer in high school, Suzune decides to take part in the seventh selection project to help make her dreams come true.
