On the official page for the animation project based on the manga written and illustrated by Naoshi Arakawa, Sayonara Watashi no cramerthe first promotional video of the project was released.
The video shows that the project includes an anime adaptation and another one based on an animated feature film, the premiere of which is scheduled for April 2021. The film is titled Eiga Sayonara Watashi no cramer first touch and will serve as the precursor to the anime adaptation.
For his part, Arakawa began publishing the manga in the magazine Monthly Shonen Magazine from the publisher Kodansha in May 2016. The publisher published the eleventh compilation volume on February 17 and the twelfth volume on June 17. The official website also posted a combined promotional image of both animation projects.
Arakawa is also the author of the manga Shigatsu wa Kimi no Usowhich was published between April 2011 and February 2015 in the Monthly Shonen Magazine of Kodansha Publishing. A total of eleven compilation volumes were published. The piece inspired a 22-episode anime adaptation produced by the studios. A-1 pictures, Headed by Kyouhei Ishiguro and scripts from Takao Yoshioka, published October 2014.
