Synopsis for Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu
Upon exiting the store, Subaru Natsuki encounters a bustling city inhabited by humans and demi-humans alike. The city, which uses kites and carriages for transportation, is clearly not the modern Japan he knows. However, as someone who spends his days immersed in comics and games, Subaru assumes that he is a protagonist in this new fantasy world, wielding supreme magical powers. Unfortunately for him, that’s not the case and things quickly go awry when he encounters a group of thugs. Luckily, a silver-haired beauty named Satella comes to his aid as she searches for her stolen badge.
In exchange for his kindness, Subaru offers to help him search, which eventually leads them to a boot store. Assuming the token was exchanged for money, Subaru enters the store hoping to negotiate with the owner about the stolen item. But to her surprise, she isn’t expecting the badge, but a brutal killer who leads them both to their deaths. But instead of waking up in the afterlife, Subaru is surprised to be alone in the middle of the day, like he’s never left town in the first place. So his life begins mysteriously in another world for the second time.
