The cover with Luffy and Conan opened at Return of ONE PIECE on Weekly Shonen Jump. It was a long wait that readers had to endure like it hasn't happened since 2012, but in the end it ended with Eiichiro Oda bringing his audience a chapter full of important events.
There is a new crisis in Wano due to theRaid by Admiral Ryokugyu, first faced by the Red Foders, then by Yamato, and finally by Momonosuke. So the samurai island doesn't seem to find peace, but the rest of the world is also in turmoil. The revolutionary army is at the center of many important stories, most notably Sabo and his assassination of Nefertari Cobra, Vivi's father. Akainu at Naval Headquarters doesn't seem to have given up, in short, ONE PIECE 1054 was really tight, but now we have to start thinking about what will happen next.
What will happen in ONE PIECE 1055? Oda may have already closed the bracket on the world of his manga so he can get back to what's happening on Wano. Ryokugyu is an opponent to watch out for and doesn't let go easily, especially when he can then count on the intervention of the naval warships stationed outside the island, and especially the CP0. It's possible that the challenge will continue for a while before the admiral manages to distress the protagonists, who are still celebrating. But the new era of manga is just around the corner.
