The original video game is a collaboration between SEGA, Crypton Future Media and Colorful palette, and was originally released in Japan on September 30, 2020, followed by an Asian release slated for this month. This title is a spin-off of the video game series by SEGA, Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA, and has the participation of virtual singers Hatsune Miku, Megurine Lukas, Kagamine Rin & Len, Meiko and Kaito, along with a cast of twenty human characters.

Hatsune Miku: COLORFUL STAGE! is a rhythm game with Hatsune Miku and her virtual friends, including virtual singers like Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, KAITO and MEIKO. Players will discover a cast of twenty original characters divided into five groups, each with their own musical style and story. Hatsune Miku’s greatest hits including βTell Your Worldβ by kz, βMeltβ by Ryo and βROKIβ by Mikito-P, as well as new songs produced for the game, will appear in the game.
The players play to the beat and face challenges with five different levels of difficulty for each track, which can be played alone or with friends. By earning rewards and experience for completing challenges, players can level up through the gacha system and unlock additional character cards. Unique to Hatsune Miku: COLORFUL STAGE! Players can take part in virtual live appearances of their favorite groups in the game and network with the community, take part in online events and earn rewards such as exclusive stamps.
