More than 25 years have passed since the debut of Ash Ketchum’s adventure. However, the young and curious trainer who left the small town of Biancavilla in the Kanto region seems to have returned, albeit in an alternate version, in the special episode of Pokemon: Explorationswhere he wore his first iconic hat.
Indeed, Ash’s final steps in the Pokémon anime series are accomplished with a design very similar to the beginning of his journey. The special installment of the Pokémon Exploration series “The distant blue sky‘ presented viewers with a version of Ash that appears to be different from the version known from the regular series. It was the very presence that aroused doubt and curiosity Hat worn in the Kanto region during the saga.
Also, as stated by @AnipokeHub in the post at the bottom of the page, in this alternate universe Ash would get the hat from his father, a character shrouded in mystery to this day, as the protagonist won it in the regular series thanks to an online contest. It’s not yet clear if we’ll be seeing this version of Ash again in the 11-episode series, but the community seems open to theorizing about it. And what are you thinking instead?
