Although he has ended his career as an artist, Aka Akasaka remains in the manga world as a screenwriter. And if his prowess has already been seen in Kaguya-sama: Love is War, so are the results Oshi no Koa series focused on the world of Japanese show business, particularly that of idols.
Announced a few months ago, the Oshi no Ko anime that will air in Japan in 2023 confirms the goodness of the mangaka’s work, which will be assisted in the series by veteran designer Yokoyari Mengo. Little by little, the production reveals more and more details about this anime.
The new trailer for Oshi no Ko The one minute long first features the opening of the anime titled “Idol” and sung by YOASOBI, with the video available above. After about 30 seconds introducing one of the protagonists, a doctor who works in a hospital in a provincial town, and the idol Ai Hoshino, who also happens to be his favorite idol, the opening in question begins with Ai Hoshino on stage, the dances and sings, enchanting the audience and above all two very special children who will be fundamental to the plot of the series.
Joining the already announced voice actors is Megumi Han in the role of Kana Arima, a little prodigy actress who will support the twin protagonists and who makes her debut in this trailer. The Oshi no Ko is scheduled to debut in April 2023 with a one and a half hour special.
