The platform Funimation announced the production of the Spanish dubbing of the original anime Yuzuru Tachikawa and studying Madhouse, Death parade. The series will be available on the platform’s Latin America catalog on July 30th, but currently with subtitles.

On the other hand, this franchise started with the release of a short film called Death billiardsoriginally produced by studios Madhouse For the event Anime Mirai 2013, and published on March 2, 2013 with a duration of 25 minutes. The animated series was then produced with a total of 12 episodes and published in January 2015.

Production team

  • Yuzuru Tachikawa was responsible for creating the concept, directing the anime in the studios Madhouse, as well as writing and monitoring the scripts.
  • Shinichi Kurita was responsible for character design and animation direction.
  • Yuuki hayashi was responsible for the composition of the soundtrack.

Summary of the death parade

After death there is neither heaven nor hell, just a barrier that stands between reincarnation and oblivion. There the magician challenges newly deceased couples one after the other to a game of chance, in which a bet is made about their fate, to ascend to reincarnation or to fall into the void. Whether bowling, darts, air hockey or anything else, the true nature of every human being is revealed in a gruesome parade of death and memories that dance to the whims of the barman.
