On the official website of the original animation project, written and directed by Mitsuo Iso, Chikyuugai Shounen Shoujo (Alien boys and girls) the first promotional video was released. The video confirms that the project will be released in cinemas in Japan in two parts, the first scheduled for January 28, 2022 and the second for February 11, 2022.
The production of this original project has been announced since 2018 during the event Anime headquarters, report since then Mitsuo Iso would direct and script for the first time since an original anime Dennou coil in 2007. At that time Iso remarked: «I’ve seen less anime that develops its story in space, so I decided to make one myself. Space is no longer an inaccessible place to the world that we once could only imagine through science fiction, but now we can travel through it. I wanted to tell the story of a group of boys who were thrown into this environment like it was a real event».

Summary of Chikyuugai Shounen Shoujo
The story takes place in the year 2045, where internet and artificial intelligence are widespread even in space, and revolves around a group of children stranded in space after a large-scale accident on a space station. Using broadband, social networks and a drone that they can manipulate through their smartphones, children supported by artificial intelligence face many challenges while waiting for the planet’s help.
