According to an interview with the author of the light novels Pray wo Suki nano wa Omae dake ka me (also known as Oresuki), Rakuda, it was revealed that the OVA episode will close the anime adaptation. In addition, it was also revealed that the episode actually comprises adaptations of various volumes of the novels, so "the girl" from the eighth volume and "the other girl" from the fourteenth volume will make an appearance.
The Blu-ray / DVD version of this 60-minute OVA episode will be released in Japan on September 2. For his part, Rakuda publication of light novels began in February 2016 through the publishing label Dengeki Bunko from the publisher Kadokawa. The publisher published the fourteenth volume on June 10.
The play inspired an anime adaptation released in October 2019 and produced by the studios. CONNECT. The series had a total of twelve episodes. In fact, this OVA episode will end the story presented in the series, however, there has been no confirmation of a second season.
Oresuki Synopsis
The story centers on Amatsuyu “Joro” Kisaragi, an ordinary high school boy who is invited by two beautiful girls to speak alone: the first is his senpai, Sakura “Cosmos” Akino, and the second is his childhood friend Aoi. Hoping that both of them will confess their love to him, Joro triumphantly attends to see them only for them to confess that they are in love with their best friend, Taiyou "Sun-chan" Ouga.
