There are many scenes that made manga history that are occasionally picked up by other authors. Those who may have grown up with these stories try to develop them differently but still make their inspiration known. This happened recently in the Chapter of One-Punch Man by Yusuke Murata.
The manga, which takes care of the adaptation of the ONE webtoon into the classic comic version, has been back on the Tonari no Young Jump stage for a few days. In Chapter 181 of the manga’s One-Punch Man, there are some panels inserted by Yusuke Murata reminiscent of the fringes of Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT. As can be seen in the tweet below, there are also obvious comparisons to Saitama and Tatsumaki, with the two facing off with gigantic attacks like in Akira Toriyama’s manga.
Murata doesn’t seem to stop there, however, and does the same in One-Punch Man 182, marking the end of the battle and a brief dip in Tatsumaki’s past. still young, Tatsumaki recalls the moment she was saved by Blast. One-Punch Man’s strongest hero wears a cape while little Fubuki stands behind him, a scene that, as seen below, evokes the moment Piccolo saved Gohan from Nappa’s attack. Yusuke Murata may have therefore chosen to pay homage to Akira Toriyama’s manga several times recently. And have you noticed similarities on an artistic level?
The final chapter of One-Punch Man gives me a Dragon Ball vibe… 😅 pic.twitter.com/iJItFHYfqK
