While ONE PIECE appeared for a few seconds, everyone was wondering who is Im-sama. Introduced during the Levely saga, very few details are known about this character, who has always been shown with a black silhouette, and only a detail of his eyes is known. What theories are circulating about him?
Obviously many, and since this is such a mysterious character, the theories go in all directions. Something Theories about im-sama are inherently strangesuch as who would like to be Drakul Mihawk because of the attention to detail in the eyes, others are potentially more likely, even if there is of course no certainty for a long time.
According to some theories, Im-sama is actually a woman and is Luffy’s mother. However, according to others, he is one of the descendants of the ancient rulers who ruled the world of ONE PIECE centuries earlier and therefore has to do with the century of the void. Then information is displayed that indicate some sort of divine nature of the character, like the Japanese name ใค ใ (Imu), which means “Buddha” in Kanji format ไป, or the fact that Im is a Jวซtunn according to Norse mythology, a superhuman creature usually facing, but sometimes with, the gods is allied with them.
Who knows if it’s up to him or Blackbeard after the Wano saga: one of the two will likely be Luffy’s last enemy before he finds the One Piece on Laugh Tale.
