The countdown has really started. In a few weeks, indeed ONE PIECE will finally be able to hit one of the thresholds that few manga in Japan or a thousand chapters of serialization have. The people behind Eiichiro Oda’s masterpiece have already started the countdown, but when will that issue be published?
With the release of Chapter 992, the Wano saga is approaching its climax and closing one of the most important narrative arcs in all of history. In fact, Oda has started gluing together the pieces of the big puzzle of the plot that will trigger World War I in the next saga, which will rage in ONE PIECE.
But before that, the sensei has to achieve the coveted goal of 1000 serialization chapters, an impressive number that only a few manga can show. Also recently on the occasion of the comment posted this week for Weekly shonen jumpthe author spoke again about the milestone:
“Since the procedures have changed due to Covid, we are trying to publish 3 chapters every 4 weeks or every 3 2 chapters. The aim is definitely to reach chapter 1000 by the end of the year.”
