The anime of ONE PIECE is now in the midst of the attack on Onigashima, but the real war for the Isle of Wano was just breaking out when the Nine Red Sheaths took the first step against Kaido in ONE PIECE 995.
Put 20 years of fear in their first attack was already a formidable event for the anime, but that was only the first step that sparked an even bigger battle between the two sides on the roof of the Skull Dome. But with episode 1004, it looks like the anime felt the need show us an even more massive fight.
Previous episodes gave fans a glimpse of how the battle against Kaido and the Pirates of the 100 Beasts took shape on the roof of the Skull Dome, but the final episode took up that battle in full and gave it up the beginning of the complete clash between the Nine Red Foderi and Kaido.
Use all of their ryou on each of their attacks, Kin’emon and the others even used Oden’s ancient techniques to do as much damage to the Emperor as possible. And, as the fans expected, that led to downright spectacular scenes. You can see an example below.
Episode 1004 of the series continued the full battle between the Nine Red Hulls and Kaido, and it was shown how their first attack really infuriated Kaido. The emperor looked briefly a fragment of Oden Kozuki in each of their attacks, and finally we could see the true power of the Nine Red Foderi in action.
This fight is a real stumbling block for everyone and so they give everything. This also includes a Reproduction of Paradise Totsuka from Oden (the same trait that gave Kaido his noticeable scar).
This seems to hurt Kaido enough, but as we’ve seen in many moments so far in the anime of the Emperor, this is really just the beginning for him. You may have slightly injured Kaido in this attack, but Luffy must get back to the roof quickly if the samurai have a real chance of defeating the Emperor in this war.
