there ONE PIECE live-action TV series has officially entered productionas announced by Netflix. In fact, a few moments ago, the streaming giant surprisingly showed the script of the first episode and revealed the logo chosen for the television series.
Below you can see the script of the premieres, signed Matt Owens (Luke Cage, The Defenders) e Steve Maeda (Lost, The X-Files). The title chosen for the pilot is the same as the first chapter of Eiichiro Oda’s manga, or “Romance Dawn”, and the logo is very similar to that of Oda and Toei, with the famous straw hat skull in the middle of the “O” and an anchor replacing the “E”.
A few days ago, some reports had revealed that Netflix had contacted actor Ludi Lin to play Zoro, and currently the staff were taking care of the casting phase. Netflix’s Twitter post confirms that the script writing for the premieres is complete, then the start of shooting is just around the corner. At this point, it is very likely that Netflix has at least selected the actors of the protagonists.
Additionally, according to some rumors, Netflix recently signed a 7-year deal with Cape Town Film Studios so it is possible that the plans for the live action of ONE PIECE are possible are those of a long-term production.
