Fan service has always been a question that divides the anime and manga community in two, between those who appreciate the author’s “slippage” and those who, on the other hand, find them annoying. The father of Firepower, Atsushi Ohkubo, belongs to the group of sensei who advocate this phenomenon.
More than once, Fire Force has sparked controversy over excessive fan service, and since serialization began, several readers have complained about too much unjustified nudity. In particular, Tamaki, who is the protagonist of the gags because of his alleged “curse”, is the character who has become the object of fan services above all. In any case, the sensei indirectly exposed himself to the matter in the last chapter of the manga and thus reacted to the readers who criticize him.
So we see exactly in the final table of the last chapter Tamaki undresses in response to people who criticize it in the background for exhibitionism. In fact, the author’s final comment adds: “Who cares what society thinks ?! This is what i am! I’m saving the world thanks to the power of sex appeal!“
And it is precisely the heroine in question who, through the author, closes the chapter with the sentence that reads: “If you hate leather so much, then I’ve got something to show you!“
