ONE PIECE It may not be a popular title in the US, but when it comes to anime, the series is a real legend. The manga has millions of fans all over the world and its popularity can be confirmed thanks to its sales. Now it looks like the manga is breaking a record long set by the author of. was held Harry Potter.
The news came to light after ONE PIECCE released its latest sales figures. It turns out that the manga has sold 490 million copies with more than 100 volumes to date. Of course, many of these sales come from collections or other collections, but the truth cannot be ignored. ONE PIECE has sold a lot and the creator Eiichiro Oda is about to steal a major from JK Rowling.
The author behind Harry Potter has sold a large number of books. JK Rowling has sold 500 million copies to date between Harry Potter and his latest detective novels. That means they are there only 10 million copies separating the two authors, and ONE PIECE fans set to work to analyze the development of these sales.
As you can read on Reddit, the OHandS user did some serious calculations to understand when ONE PIECE will exceed the milestone of 500 million copies sold. If the sale goes as planned, the series is expected to cross the threshold later this year, if not early next.
Although ONE PIECE suffered a decline in sales, Harry Potter still seems to be defenseless against Luffy. So in the battle between pirates and wizards there is a very high chance that they will win first.
Naturally, Wizarding world he could return anytime, but Oda still has a long way to go and many volumes to publish before his manga ends. The creator of ONE PIECE said they hope to complete the long series in the next few years and it looks like the goal is perfectly plausible.
Fans may be skeptical of the ending, but Oda has proven to be an attentive storyteller over the decades. No one could give Luffy a better ending, and that is out of the question Sales will skyrocket as the finale approaches.
