The many volumes of ONE PIECE, which will be accompanied by further Tankobons in the future, have made us witness the very long journey of Monkey D. Luffy in the world created by Eiichiro Oda. The road has been very long for us with the 24 years of publication, but with Luffy it was much shorter.
How many years have passed since Luffy’s journey in ONE PIECE began? So let’s not take as a starting point the moment he ate the gom gom fruit, but the moment he took his boat and shot down the sea monster that ate Shank’s arm years ago.
Luffy’s journey from departure to the Battle of Marineford and back to Amazon Lily takes several months, just over three. The exact number was never given by Eiichiro Oda, but by counting the various pieces of information about the days spent on the different islands, it is possible to make this indicative calculation. Then the famous 2-year timeskip pass, to which additional days have to be added for the second part of the trip. However, a few days pass from Fishmen Island to Wano, probably about a month or so.
Make the sum so we get a period of around 2 years and 5 months, was therefore devoted most of the time to the time skip.
