The time has finally come for ONE PIECE’s big shots to move, and Oda has created many of those big shots. However, there are some who truly sit at the top of the world chain, with power almost unmatched – if you don’t count quasi-godlike figures like Im-sama – and who With one of their gestures they decide the fate of the world.
The pinnacle of world government is represented by the Five Stars of Wisdom, a group of five fairly elderly men, all in their fifties, who hold the reins of the governmental structures of all islands as well as the navy currently led by Akainu. They saw very little of each other in ONE PIECE, but they have never been presented, at least until now. In ONE PIECE 1073, the name of one of them was actually revealed.
The man with a long beard and braided hair is called San Jaygarcia Saturn, a name that immediately made the most keen fans who pay more attention to the details. At the moment, the world of ONE PIECE has a situation composed as follows: there is the sun god Nika, represented by Luffy; the three ancestral weapons Uranus, Poseidon and Pluton apparently refer to the planets Uranus, Neptune and Pluto; now the representative of Saturn is introduced.
Oda just revealed the names of the five stars of wisdom? As the name suggests, the five are “stars” or celestial bodies and it is natural at this point to think that the others also have names associated with the planets. After Saturn, will we also see Mars, Jupiter, Venus and Mercury? These could be at least partially the names of these characters, at most with names associated with the Greek universe, as was the case with Poseidon. In short, whether it’s Mars or Ares, Jupiter or Zeus, Venus or Aphrodite or Mercury or Apollo, Oda seems to have paved the way for those characters.
