Since then director Nagamine has been the animation adaptation of ONE PIECE and TOEI Animation has redesigned and modernized its studios, the televised quality of Eiichiro Oda’s manga has skyrocketed, and some of the franchise’s best moments are all part of the Wano saga.
The trailer for ONE PIECE episode 978 had promised: Luffy, Kidd and Law together against Kaido’s Pirates of the Hundred Beasts, an action-packed collaboration. As a tribute to this partnership between the three captains, which hadn’t happened in 579 episodes, TOEI Animation hired its animators to create a beautiful scene. One that lasts about a minute and thirty seconds, which you can admire on the news below, is the result of the collaboration of several key animators who really went out of their way to achieve the best possible result.
