The war is on: in the New World, all factions face each other in a sequence of chapters that takes away or prepares for some characters of great depth. And with the end of Kid's Pirates, a bracket has closed, with ONE PIECE which now moves to another scenario.
Hachinosu is the scene of the events of ONE PIECE 1080, a chapter that puts aside Egghead or Elbaf entirely. No longer Luffy, Kid or Law but back to Blackbeard's crew but without their commander. On the island, Koby managed to escape from his cell thanks to the intervention of Perona, who came to the island to save Gecko Moria, and so the Navy took advantage of the situation to free as many prisoners as possible and create chaos . With a flashback, it is explained that Koby is worth nothing to the World Government due to the dictates of the SWORD, which is made up of Marines who no longer have the organization's protection but are free to roam.
However, there are now a few Blackbeard commanders on the island: Shiryu, Avalo Pizarro, Vasco Shot, San Juan Wolf, all with a Devil Fruit depicted. On the other hand, the opponents also have extraordinary abilities. In fact, the Marines have arrived in Hachinosu with many SWORD members starting the attack on the island. However, the ending of ONE PIECE 1080 is dedicated to a legendary marine who makes a special appearance: Monkey D. Garp leaps from his ship in mid-flight and unleashes a massive haki punch that destroys much of Hachinosu. The war between the Navy and the Blackbeard Pirates begins.
