The interview between Eiichiro Oda and Gosho Aoyama marked the ONE PIECE is back on Weekly Shonen Jump after a month break. Chapter 1054 brought the clashes back to Wano, even during the celebrations, but a series of important revelations that are beginning to take shape still seem to be afoot.

However, Ryokugyu regenerates from a plant growing behind him. Suddenly, a black flash from Haki can be seen from afar.
The Shanks crew still exist in the seas around Wano. The Emperor overfills his haki and threatens not to interrupt the birth of this new era. There are some flashbacks with Luffy as a child, Hiyori as a newborn, and even a silhouette reminiscent of Uta's. Ryokugyu returns to his normal form and decides to leave. Luffy, Zoro and Sanji were away and are happy that the admiral is gone and they made it without their help. As Shanks' ship departs, Luffy thinks of his mentor.
