I am now For several years, ONE PIECE has been in full swing by Wano. It started with a first act where Luffy awkwardly landed on the shore of Samurai Island under the control of Kaido. And the defeat with the emperor marked the end of the first part, to then give way to a build-up and the story of the pirate king.
However, now Wano is near the end and he can only do it with him Confrontation between Luffy and Kaido. In fact, with the last few chapters, Eiichiro Oda has eliminated almost all of the subplots and other clashes that take place in Onigashima. There are still some knots to be untied as of now, but the mangaka made it clear with the finale of ONE PIECE 1041 that the stage will now be entirely dedicated to Luffy VS Kaido.
In fact, there will be no CP0 that holds ONE PIECE 1042 will be a chapter on the footprint of action very similar to the last ones where Law and Kid faced Big Mom. Luffy activated his final Gear Fourth while Kaido suffers for now. However, the Emperor’s return must be considered and prove that he is the strongest, since he has certainly not yet surrendered to defeat. Oda could devote a few scenes to a corner of Onigashima, but most will focus on the fight between the two captains.
