The young protagonist of ONE PIECE will not be able to take any further steps towards the title of Pirate King without defeating the blue dragon that lives in Wano. On the other hand, the Emperor must silence his rival in order to win the Laugh Tale ticket.
A challenge that ONE PIECE has been bringing into play for several chapters now. The two have faced each other quickly in the past, but since ONE PIECE 1000 their fight has taken on very different levels again. Now that all the minor clashes are almost over, Eiichiro Oda gives the two some space again ONE PIECE 1037.
Onigashima is approaching the flower capital, where celebrations are still going on. Nobody sees the flying island where Luffy and Kaido fight on the skull. They both stand up laughing, the emperor starts drinking, which arouses the anger of the protagonist. But Kaido is not discouraged by the alcohol and seems to actually put the young pirate in a quandary with the transition from one phase to the other.
However, Luffy responds punch after punch, launching attack after attack thanks to his rubber machine guns. Kaido answers, but in the end it is he who suffers a severe blow to the stomach after so many action packed pages. But what causes a stir is what happens in the final pages of ONE PIECE 1037: The Five Stars of Wisdom are with Mary Geoise and discuss the condition of Nico Robin as one of the world government officers makes ships moving in near Wano I guess Zunisha's shadow approaches them.
