Many of the films produced by Studio Ghibli are linked to nature and the often magical creatures that inhabit them, including Totoro, a type of raccoon bear featured in the film My neighbor Totoro He plays an important role as the guardian of the forest and was recently honored with an extraordinary snowman.

After the snowfall that hit the historic Ghibli Museum on January 6, 2022, giving the place an almost dreamlike and supernatural atmosphere, on the island of Ghibli Hokkaido, in the extreme north of Japan, a large snowman depicting Totoro has been sighted. The Japanese director found the incredible sculpture Masami Obari, best known for the OAV Toshinden and for his work as a mecha designer.

Considering the holiday season, Obari was near the Furano ski slope and that's where he met a subspecies of Totoro, as stated in the post shared on his official Twitter page and found at the bottom of the page. In the photo shown you can see a fairly large snowman perfectly modeled after the design of the magical Totoro. Let us know what you think about this beautiful gift in the comments.

Finally, we remind you that Studio Ghibli has presented the official My Neighbor Totoro gachapons.
