Volume 31 of My Hero Academia premiered in Japan on August 4th and covers chapters 296-306. Horikoshi recently unveiled the cover, but apparently Deku and All Might aren’t the only ones who got a place in the new volume, if you can consider that There is also an original sketch of the Midnight heroine on the first few pages.
Below you can see the author’s sketch, in which the heroine, forbidden for minors, is shown in casual clothing, a great way to remind fans of the series that all of the heroes in the world of My Hero Academia have personal lives too. Given the role Midnight played during the penultimate arc of the story, this picture is even more important.
Midnight, aka Nemuri Kayama, is a heroine and teacher at Yuei High School, a good friend of Eraserhead and Present Mic. The woman plays a marginal role at the beginning of the story, but Horikoshi has dug a lot into her past in the vigilante spin-off My Hero Academia: Illegals and then given her even more space in the narrative arc of the Paranormal Liberation Front.
And what do you think? Do you like this Horikoshi sketch? Tell us in the comments! In the meantime, we remind you that My Hero Academia will return this weekend with Chapter 322, always on MangaPlus.
