Episode 14 of My Hero Academia 5 introduced a new antagonist, Star servant, a preacher who can manipulate glass. But who exactly is this villain and what does he want? Fortunately, the author Kohei Horikoshi came to our rescue by revealing some interesting details.
Starservant is described as a mentally unstable preacher fixated on the idea that the apocalypse is imminent. During the internship events at the Endeavor Agency, a member of the Union of Villains encourages Starservant to attack the city, with the aim of making hero number one look bad.
Starservant has an extraordinary ability to manipulate glass, and his final move, “Sphere of the Fallen King,” allows him to create a large sphere that can destroy streets and skyscrapers. However, the power of Endeavor completely neutralizes the glass tamperingwhich is why Starservant is easy to defeat.
However, the most interesting part of the clash between the two is in the final stages, when Starservant calls Endeavor “the Bringer of Darkness”. Shortly before the start of the fight, the villain appeared to be looking for the “messenger of darkness”, but after his final capture he claims that “the light of the number one hero will lead to destruction”.
Will Endeavor then bring about “the apocalypse”? Or is it just the preacher’s mad vision? Episode by episode, the rogue confrontation draws nearer, and we may have an answer soon. But one thing is for sure, the opening scene of episode 5×13, in which Shigaraki Tomura laughs as a city is destroyed, it could be related to Starservant’s statements.
