Finally he’s back lumen. The anime of the 70’s and 80’s found new life with a makeover by David Productions. The stories of the Urusei Yatsura remake will tell episodes of different types, without following a story arc or with the aim of re-adapting Rumiko Takahashi’s entire manga.

Meanwhile, the Urusei Yatsura fever has already broken out in Japan, and David Productions has made an animated short film to promote a new product. That Shoe brand Onitsuka Tiger has announced a collaboration with Lum’s anime, preparation of thematic shoes. The alien enters this Onitsuka tiger shop in Neo Shibuya with Ataru Moroboshi and discovers an infinity of tiger shoes, the colors of which are identical to Lum’s costume.

The company will provide these shoes to commemorate the anime and there will also be limited edition productions. The collaboration doesn’t end there though, as in the first episode of Lum, Ataru wears Onitsuka Tiger’s Mexico 66 shoes in the third episode Lum will carry the DelicityOr those brindle shoes.

Delicacies are produced in limited quantities – only 700 – and will be available for purchase in 15 countries from October 29th on Onitsuka Tiger’s online store or in the company’s various stores. Other products such as bags and sweaters are only sold on Japanese soil instead.

It’s not their first collaboration, as Lum has dressed street punk in hardcore chocolate.
