Aoyama has earned his spot as one of the most noticeable Class 1-A heroes in the UA Academy, trying to become a dazzling hero thanks to one of the most troublesome quirks in My Hero Academia.
However, Things got less glitzy for the young hero in the later chapters of the manga, and it seems that many of the problems Aoyama faces are directly due to it Sins of his parents and the steps they took to help their son become a hero.
As revealed in My Hero Academia 336, Aoyama is the traitor among the UA’s Grade 1-A students. He has been providing information to All For One since he started school. However, when these actions are actually wrong, the flamboyant young hero found himself between a rock and a tough place, forced to Work for the League of Villain to save his parents’ life. As Aoyama explains, his parents went to All For One to be able to give their son a quack as he was born without:
“You were very concerned about my peculiarity. You both come from wealthy and privileged families and you have never been short of anything in your upbringing. You two worry that I am different from other children, even more than me. For this reason you hoped against all hope and only wished me luck, and you dared to believe a rumor of dubious origin. I suffered from my new quirk (from All For One) which did not fit my body well. While you, mom and dad, struggle with your agony while you raised me, My dream was born from this desire for conformity“.
Aoyama’s parents may have a deal with All For One for to enable your child to have a better life, but also to make life easier for them. With the capture of Aoyama and his parents at the end of the last chapter, salvation still rests with Izuku as the young hero shakes hands with the traitor of his class.
