With the release of the first trailer of Moon Knight, Marvel has also announced the release date of the awaited Disney+ series: March 30th, 2022. To celebrate the arrival of the series, Marvel Comics will publish an anthology of short stories starring Marc Spector (and his other personalities) entitled Moon Knight: Black, White, & Blood #1.

The anthology consists of four issues, which will be published from April 2022. The first edition of Moon Knight: Black, White & Blood will contain three short stories, produced by: Jonathan Hickman and Chris Bachalo; Marc Guggenheim and Jorge Fornes; Murewa Ayodele and Dotun Akanda.

The “Black, White & Blood” label is nothing new at Marvel: in recent months, Deadpool, Wolverine, Carnage and Elektra have also received a similar anthology. It’s about Anthologies, collecting self-contained stories created by various creative teams that tell special moments in the life of the protagonists. As you can tell from the title, these aren’t cheap stories when it comes to violent content.

The story of Hickman and Bachalo set in the future will introduce a new Moon Knight. The writers state that this new character is unrelated to Hunter’s Moon, Khonshu’s new avatar introduced in the ongoing Moon Knight regular series.

The appointment with Moon Knight: Black, White & Blood #1 it is therefore scheduled for April 2022. Meanwhile, Marvel has released Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke’s reaction to the Moon Knight trailer.
