The film is originally scheduled for last July Mobile suit Gundam: Hathaway finally has an official release date in Japanese theaters and was recently featured in a short teaser trailer with English subtitles. The film will debut on May 7thand will be the first in the trilogy to adapt the Gundam: Hathaway novel series.
Shukou Murase (Ergo Proxy, Gangsta., Witch Hunter Robin, Genocidal Organ) will direct the entire trilogy of Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash Yasuyuki Mutou (Basilisk, Mobilanzug Gundam Unicorn RE: 0096, Deadman Wonderland) will curate the script. Pablo Uchida, Naoyuki Wave is Shigeki KuharaInstead, they were hired to adapt the original character design from Haruhiko Mikimotowhile Hiroyuki Sawano (Attack of the Giants, Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative, Mobile Suit Gundam UC) composes the soundtrack.
The trilogy of novels on which the film is based was created by Yoshiyuki Tomino and published in Japan from February 1989 to May 1990. The film is part of the "UC NexT 0100" project, with the study sunrise plans to expand the timeline ofUniversal Centuaryand is the second after the 2019 animated filmMobile Suit Gundam Narrative.
