During yesterday Yamato animation has released the trailer for Miss Hokusai – Mirto Crespo, the great 2015 Japanese animated film directed by Keiichi Hara, which is now available on on his YouTube channel Tim Vision. Above you can see the video that was made by the famous Gualtiero Cannarsi.

Cannarsi, director of the Italian dubbing of some great anime classics, including several films by Studio Ghibli and the old version of Neon Genesis Evangelion, should be responsible for both the elaboration of the dialogues and the direction. Unfortunately, Yamato didn’t provide any details about the staff, just to reveal the names of the two protagonists’ spokesmen Rossa Caputo (O-egg) e I teach Pino (Hokusai).

In case you don’t know, we remind you that the animated film Miss Hokusai – Mirto Crespo is inspired by a manga from the 80s and tells the story of Hokusai O-Ei, the eldest daughter of the famous Japanese artist Hokusai Katsushika. O-Ei lived in Edo, old Tokyo in the first half of the nineteenth century. She was a very talented painter, but she spent most of her life freeing herself from her father’s influence and gaining her physiognomy as a woman and artist.
