June 1962 was a particularly important month in the history of Marvel Comics, and comics in general: Thor lifted Mjolnir for the first time, Hank Pym created Ant-Man’s helmet and most importantly Spider-Man woven his first web. To celebrate these stories, the Marvel Omnibus: June 1962 is on its way.
It’s about a collection of the stories published by Marvel in June 1962. The list of stories selected therefore includes Journey Into Mystery # 83, Tales To Astonish # 35, and Amazing Fantasy # 15, but also Fantastic Four # 6, Incredible Hulk # 3, Millie the Model # 110, and many other books that will look like this a very rich collector’s volume.
The cover of Marvel: June 1962 Omnibus was created by Javier Rodríguez, but the real gem is represented by the cover variant: it is theIllustration by Steve Ditko as the cover of Amazing Fantasy # 15, the book that saw the debut of Spider-Man, then dropped in favor of Jack Kirby’s version. We’ll leave both covers in the gallery at the end of the article.
Marvel: June 1962 Omnibus will of course be available in hardcover from June 2022. Hence, it will fall in June 2022 the sixtieth anniversary of Spider-Man, a character who is still in excellent health given No Way Home’s record box office debut.
