There Marvel comics has officially canceled the serialization of Ghost Rider. The author Ed Brisson submitted the news via social media and stated that the publication officially ended with number seven:
“As many speculated, Ghost Rider # 7 was the last edition of the series. I really enjoyed writing it. I enjoyed telling the stories of Danny and Johnny and introducing the Spirit of Corruption to your adventures continued elsewhere in the Marvel universe.
I should have done it earlier, but I also wanted to thank @AaronKunder, @juanmfrigeri and @bam_jason. The series would have been nothing without it. “
Of all probability, Marvel Comics’ decision is a consequence of the enormous impact of COVID-19. There is no confirmation of this, but it seems to be the most likely hypothesis. In addition to the main release, an annual and a spin-off from Empyre with Ghost Rider were canceled.
In the meantime, the character can return to a main publicationThe other Ghost Rider – Robby Reyes – remains a stable member of the Avengers and plays a leading role in Empyre.
Spider-Man receives a new Funko Pop from the collaboration between Marvel and Box Lunch. A few weeks ago, Marvel Comics presented a post-apocalyptic series by Tom Taylor, Dark Ages.
As many have assumed, GHOST RIDER # 7 was the last edition of the series. I loved writing it; had a damn good time telling Danny and Johnny’s stories; & Introduction of the spirit of corruption. As for their continued adventures, this continues elsewhere in the Marvel universe.
