The studies MAPPA announced the production of a new original anime focused and titled on the sport of water polo REMAIN. The premiere is scheduled for this year and the cast and production team have also been revealed.

  • Koutarou Nishiyama as Eitarou Oka.
  • Subaru Kimura like Jou Joushima.
  • Lynn as Chinu Kawakubo.

Production team

  • Masafumi Nishida ((Tiger & Bunny, Uwabaki chef) is responsible for the general management of the project in the studies MAPPAas well as writing and monitoring the scripts.
  • Kiyoshi Matsuda ((Kakegurui × x10, Kuma Miko, Uchi Tama?! Uchi no Tama Shirimasen ka?) is responsible for the direction of the anime.
  • Shiho Tanaka ((Chihayafuru, Mirai Nikki, Granblue Fantasy The animation) is responsible for the character design.
  • Kana Utatane from TaWaRa is responsible for the composition of the soundtrack.

RE-MAIN synopsis

In his third year of school, protagonist Minato Shimizu stopped playing water polo after a series of specific events. After entering Yamagata High School, he decided to resume the sport thanks to the new friends he made at this new phase in his life. However, the various difficulties of his past await him again ...
