Commemoration of the publication of the Blu-ray / DVD compilation in the sixth and final volume, the animated adaptation of the easy novels Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha: Shijou Saikyou no Maou no Shiso, Tensei shite Shison-tachi no Gakkou e (The Demon King Academy underdog) held a special live broadcast this morning. Although production of a sequel has not yet been confirmed, a special message was shared by the character at the end of the broadcast Anos Voldigoadwhich was also posted on Twitter:

The press release also revealed an excerpt from the song “Dear Descendants,” composed by the member of CIVILIAN, Hidekazu Koyamaand performed by the voice actor and singer Tatsuhisa suzukiwho plays the protagonist Anos Voldigoad. This song is included as a benefit on the sixth Blu-ray / DVD of the project.

The anime premiered in Japan during the 2020 summer season (July-September) and had a total of thirteen episodes. Shu began publishing the novels in the independent service Shousetsuka ni Narou in April 2017. The publisher Kadokawa publishes novels on paper with illustrations by Yoshinori Shizumaand released the eighth volume on October 10th in Japan.
Production team
- Masafumi Tamura (Two cars, Kenja not a magician) was responsible for directing the anime in the studios SILVER LINKwith the support of Mirai Minato (Masamune-kun no revenge, Sunohara-sou no Kanrinin-san).
- Kazuyuki Yamayoshi (Chaos, child) was responsible for the character design.
- Keiji Inai was responsible for the composition of the soundtrack under the audio direction of Ryousuke naya.
Synopsis of Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha
In the distant past, a war between humans and demons caused widespread chaos and bloodshed. To end this seemingly endless conflict, the Demon King Anos Voldigoad willingly sacrificed his life in the hope of being reborn in a peaceful future.
In preparation for the return of their king, the demon race established the Demon King Academy, an elite institution whose job it is to determine the identity of Anos when he wakes up. He is reborn two millennia later, but to his surprise, he soon discovers that the level of magic in the world has dropped dramatically in his absence. When he enrolls at the academy to claim his rightful title, he discovers that demons remember him differently. His personality, actions, and even heritage are forged and masked under the name of a fraudster. This “lack” of general knowledge makes him an atypical scientist, an outsider unprecedented in history.
Despite these drawbacks, Anos is unimpressed. As he sets out to uncover those who are changing his glorious past, he takes it upon himself to let his descendants realize that their ruler has finally returned.
