The first compiled Blu-ray / DVD volume of the animated light novel adaptation has reportedly been released Majo no tabitabi ((Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina), accumulated 4,112 copies sold in the first week since its introduction.

Released in Japan on January 27th, this volume contains the first half of the series, episodes first to six, plus some other perks like a short novel and an illustration booklet. The Blu-ray version costs 19,800 yen (about $ 190) and has sold 3,635 copies. The DVD version costs 17,600 yen (approximately $ 169) and has sold 477 copies.

On the other hand, this animated adaptation was produced by the studios C2C, Headed by Toshiyuki Kubooka and scripts from Kazuyuki Fudeyasuand published in the Fall 2020 season (October-December). So far there is no information about a second season.

Synopsis of Majo no Tabitabi

In a certain place there is a traveling witch named Elaina. As a traveler, she has met many people and countries as she continues her long, long journey. A city that only accepts wizards, a muscle-loving giant, a young man who wants to reconnect with his deceased lover, an abandoned princess in a ruined city, and the witch's story will be intertwined with everyone.

The witch meets incredibly strange people and makes wonderful memories together. Now, even now, she can't help but keep her whole life marked by encounters and farewells..
