Author Rumiko Takahashi is one of the most recognizable faces in the world when it comes to anime and manga culture. Just before New Year’s Eve, the production behind David Production Studio surprisingly announced a remake of Lum’s anime. Some sporadic information about this project has been leaked over the past few months, details that are much clearer now. In addition to animation by the studio behind the adaptation of Jojo’s bizarre adventurethe staff promises an exceptional cast: Sumire Ueasaka (Shalltear in Overlord) will play Lum, Hiroshi Kamiya (Yato in Noragami) to young Ataru while entrusting Mendou’s voice Mamoru Miyano (Light Yagami).

We remind you that the production has been entrusted to the duo composed of Hideya Takahashi (Keijo, Platinium End) and by Yasuhiro Kimura (Jojo: Vento Aureo), with Naoyuki Asano (Eizลken, Osomatsu-san) created the character designs.
