The official website for the Love Live! Superstar!! multimedia franchise has released a new promotional image for the upcoming third season of the project, which has yet to receive an official release date.
New Members of Liella! and Sub-Units
The press release also announced the addition of two new members to the group Liella!. The first one is Wien Margarete, who appeared in the second season of the anime as a rival to Liella! and later transferred to the Yuigaoka Academy. Wien, who hails from Austria, is known for her prodigious vocals and musical sensitivity. The second new member is Tomari Onitsuka, sister of Natsumi Onitsuka, another member of Liella!.
While Natsumi is focused on making money, Tomari is practical and efficient, always looking to optimize time and effort. She is curious about the school-idol activities that have recently taken over Natsumi's life.
As the group grows in size, Liella! will now also be organized into sub-units. The first unit will be made up of Kanon, Sumire, and Mei, the second unit by Keke, Ren, and Wien, and the third unit by Chisato, Kinako, Shiki, Natsumi, and Tomari. Fans are encouraged to participate in the naming of the sub-units through a survey.

Takahiko Kyougoku (Ano Hi no Kokoro wo Toraete, Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri, Love Live! School Idol Project) directs the project at Sunrise studios. Jukki Hanada (Campione!: Matsurowanu Kamigami to Kamigoroshi no Maou, Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!, H2O: Footprints in the Sand) is responsible for writing and supervising the scripts. Atsushi Saitou (Black Fox, High School Fleet, Kokoro Yohou) is in charge of character design, while Yoshiaki Fujisawa (Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri, Isekai Cheat Magician, Love Live! School Idol Project) handles the composition of the soundtrack.
Synopsis of Love Live! Superstar!!
Love Live! Superstar!! tells the story of Kanon Shibuya, a girl with a passion for music who is too afraid to perform on stage. When she fails to make it into the music program at the all-girls Yuigaoka Institute, she decides to give up music entirely. However, her classmate Tang Keke reignites Kanon's passion for music with her own love for school idols. Together, they attempt to form a school idol group, but they face strong opposition from Ren Hazuki, the daughter of the school's director. In order to create their club, the girls must win the top prize at the Yoyogi School Idol Festival. Along the way, they make new friends and encounter new members who join them to become the dazzling idols they always dreamed of being.
By adding new members and sub-units, Love Live! Superstar!! continues to evolve and excite fans with its inspiring story of perseverance and friendship.
