Synopsis for Love Live! School Idol Project
The Otonokizaka Institute is in crisis. The number of students enrolling at the school is decreasing, so the school will close when the freshmen graduate. However, sophomore Honoka Kousaka refuses to let him go without a fight. Looking for a solution, he comes across the popular school idol group A-RISE and sets about starting his own idol group. With the help of her childhood friends Umi Sonoda and Kotori Minami, Honoka forms μs (pronounced “muse”) to spread awareness and popularity of her school.
Unfortunately, that’s easier said than done. Student Council President Eri Ayase is adamantly opposed to the formation of a school idol group and will do everything in her power to prevent its formation. Also, Honoka and her friends are having trouble getting more members. But Love Live, a competition to find Japan’s best and most popular school idol groups, can help them get the attention they sorely need. As the competition draws ever closer, Honoka must act quickly and diligently to gather a group of school idols and win Love Live to save Otonokizaka High School.
