Over a year ago, Legend of Mana: The Teardrop Crystal was announced, an animated series that would commemorate the 30 years of the Square Enix video game franchise. The cult adaptation of JRPG now has an official premiere.
Legend of Mana: The Teardrop Crystal will debut from October 7th, a date that was officially confirmed in a very short time teasers This allows us to preview some frames from the series. The protagonist of this series will be Shiloh and Serafina, which are the default names for male and female playable character selections in the original game. In the anime, the two are voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki and Saori Hayami.
The anime is in Production at Graphinica and Yokohama Animation Lab, two animation studios that previously collaborated on the opening footage of the remastered version of the Legend of Mana video game. The collaborators include Masato Jinbo as director, Taro Ikegami as character designer based on HACCAN’s original themes, and Yoko Shimomura as music composer. Serafina’s voice, Saori Hayami, performs the opening song “Tear of Will”.
