During the event Tudum: A global Netflix fan event, the main promotional video for the animation project based on the franchise of League of Legends, titled Arcane. The video confirms that the world premiere is planned via the platform Netflix from the coming 6.11. Japanese releases confirmed that the series will have a Japanese dubbing that includes the following voice:
- Sumire Uesaka like Jynx, Yuu kobayashi as i saw Hayato Fujii like Vander, Setsuji satou like Silco, Yuuko Kaida like Caitlyn, Yuu miyazaki like Jayce, Ryou Shimokawa like Viktor, and Akiha Matsui like Mel.
The series will comprise a total of nine episodes, which will be released on different dates and each of the “Story arcsThe first part contains episodes one through three and will be released the next November 6th, the second part comprises episodes four to six and will be premiered on November 13th and the third part contains the seventh through ninth episodes and will be premiered on 20th November.
On the other hand, Arcane is an animated series (it is not classified as “Anime” as it is produced in the USA), announced during the video game’s 10th anniversary event League of Legends. It is developed and produced by Riot games, with the animation production of Fortiche productions.
The premiere was originally planned for 2020, but was delayed due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on production. The story takes place in the past and tells the genesis of several Piltover and Zaun characters. Like the game it is based on, the animated series has a rating of “14+” which indicates that it will be dealing with adult themes.
Arcane synopsis
From the makers of League of Legends comes a new animated series, Arcane. Set in the utopian region of Piltover and the oppressed underground of Zaun, the story traces the origins of two legendary league champions and the power that will separate them.
