The Japanese Channel Impressive announced the director’s new animation project Kenji kamiyama will be broadcast on the channel under the title from January 2022 Eien No. 831 (Eternal 831). The anime commemorates the station’s 30th anniversary, which will be celebrated in April 2021.
The slogan of the series is: «Who reset the time when it was stopped?». On the other hand, Kamiyama is leading the project Eien No. 831 In Craftar studios (Ingress the animation, Ashita Sekai ga Owaru toshitemo, Soutai Sekai) and is also responsible for writing and monitoring the scripts. In November 2020 he stated that the anime «a juvenile delinquency and adventure story that would raise awareness in society».
Kamiyama is best known for his involvement in projects like Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex, Higashi no Eden Yes Seirei no Moribito – Guardian of the Spirit. He also directed 009 Re: Cyborg, nap princess and recently co-directed Anime 2019 by Ultraman and anime in 3D-CG animation, Ghost in the shell: SAC_2045, In collaboration with Shinji Aramaki (Fullmetal Alchemist: The Conqueror of Shamballa, Kikou Souseiki Mospeada, Sengoku Bushou Retsuden Bakufuu Douji Hissatsuman).
